Narrative · Active · Importance 5.0
The World Bank has revised its economic outlooks for both the global economy and Cambodia in 2025–2026. Globally, growth is now projected at 2.5% for 2026, down from 2.9% in 2025, with risks including war-related disruptions that could reduce growth to as low as 1.3%. In contrast, Cambodia’s economy showed resilience, supported by a 15% year-on-year increase in foreign direct investment—reaching $5.1 billion or 10.1% of GDP in 2025—and a 17.7% rise in non-gold goods exports in early 2026.
